The first plant was built in 2005 in the direct vicinity of a group of wood-processing companies and with direct access to the Baltic Sea port of the Hanseatic city of Wismar. At present our main plant has a capacity of approx. 250,000 tonnes of pellets per year.
From Wismar pellets are shipped by rail and truck to supply the growing market in northern Germany and by ship to power stations in Scandinavia. The administrative headquarters of GERMAN PELLETS GmbH are also located in Wismar.
